CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Elisa Baker was moved from the Catawba County jail to Mecklenburg County jail Monday.
Baker is a federal prisoner, and federal prisoners are housed in the Mecklenburg County jail.
Baker pled guilty to second degree murder of her disabled 10-year-old stepdaughter, Zahra, last week.
Baker, 43, will spend between 14-18 years in jail.
NewsChannel 36 has learned Baker will likely stay in Mecklenburg County until her scheduled federal court date in Statesville this November.
