CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- If you never been to the Carolina Raptor Center, it’s definitely worth a visit---for all ages! 

The Raptor Center covers 57 acres with over 25 species of raptors in a zoo-like setting. They also are a major avian medical facility that does some amazing things with wounded and sick raptors. 

It’s located in the Latta Plantation Nature Preserve, with a three quarter mile Raptor Trail. The trail features eagles, owls, falcons, hawks, vultures, and other raptor species.

Special weekend programs include live bird presentations and other educational tours by docents and a summer flight show.

Group experiences include seasonal Eagle Research Observatory tours, Behind the Scenes Tours, and private educational programs.
