CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It’s the biggest night in television -- Super Bowl Sunday. Recording-breaking viewership makes it an exciting football game, but there’s also a “major” interest in the commercials.
This year’s game actually featured 55 commercials, each one costing an average of four million dollars!
For the first time in the history of the Super Bowl, USA TODAY let viewers register and rank their favorite commercials online. More than 7,000 people signed-up to take part.
During the game, those voters ranked each commercial on a one to ten scale. The results were published this morning, and to no one’s surprise---the Budweiser Clydesdale ad came out on top.
This morning on Larry’s Look, we talked about the rest of the top ads, including the Tide Miracle Stain that featured Joe Montana, the Ram Farmer’s Commercial and the Dorito’s series of TV ads.
That included Charlotte’s own Mark Frieburger’s commercial---which was a big award winner! One of our favorite’s was the Dorito’s Goat for Sale ad.
