CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There’s a special display of artwork in the lobby of the Government Center in uptown.

It’s part of the 13th Annual National Arts Program that showcases the talents of city, county, and library employees plus retirees and their families.

There’s more than 200 works of art ranging from paint to photography and clay -- from around 180 artists.

The NAP hosts exhibitions in more than 450 cities throughout the United States, producing more than 30,000 artistic works.

This morning on Larry’s Look we met some the winning artists, who showed us their unique creations.

One of the most interesting displays was a skyline view of Charlotte, made from the old uniforms of a local fire captain.

Every piece of artwork was judged with winners in amateur, intermediate, and professional categories.

Also included were 12 years of age and under and 12 to 18 years old.
