CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Larry’s Look was “on the road” this morning in downtown Concord.
In one of the historic buildings on Union Street, you can learn the art of “slinging mud”.
Actually, it’s all about pottery and the different ways to be creative.
They offer classes in wheel throwing and hand building clay---as well as special programs like birthday parties, potters night out, and after school classes.
For those who are well-versed in the art of marking pottery, you can become a member and spend some great time there, using their equipment and interacting with other clay workers.
As a member you have a chance to actually display your pottery and sell it as well.
Rachel Rogers is the owner of Mud Slingers and was our special guest.
She gave us a tour of the business and gave Larry a quick lesson in the art of making pottery--both hand building and using the potter’s wheel.
Larry had two unique pieces of pottery he created---just to show that anyone can learn the process!
