CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Festival in the Park is a 48-year-old Charlotte tradition.
On this morning’s Larry’s Look, the chairman of the festival, Dave Dalton joined us to talk about all the great things happening this year.
Music is a big part of the activities this weekend. Jim Garret and Jim Avett were also here to play one of their favorite songs.
You can see them on stage, Sunday at 1 p.m. If the name Avett sounds familiar, Jim is the father of the Avett Brothers, Scott and Seth. He talked about how music was a big part of their growing-up in Concord.
