CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Imagine a singing group that featured Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and ELVIS!

It really happened when that foursome gathered at Sun Studios in Memphis, on December 4, 1956.

They were part of an impromptu recording session that featured some classic songs, like “Hound Dog”, “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On”, and “Folsum Prison Blues”.

"Million Dollar Quartet" is the smash hit Broadway musical, inspired by the true story of the famed recording session that brought those icons together.

It’s at Knight Theatre through December 11.   Cody Slaugher, who plays Elvis, was our guest on
Larry’s Look this morning.  Larry and Cody actually closed-out the interview with some “Jailhouse Rock”!
