CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Alexander Youth Network serves hundreds of children every year in their Angel Network.
They serve children suffering emotional and behavioral problems often brought on by neglect and abuse.
"It is often no fault of their own. They're having behavioral problems caused by external things," said Susan Donati, development officer.
Donati says that often means their emotional and behavioral problems are often induced by neglect and abuse.
The Alexander Youth Network serves 2,700 children each year. They try to make the holidays special for the kids in their program with their Angel Network.
Movie passes and mp3 players are very popular gifts. Teen-appropriate items, like junior sized clothing, are usually the items that are in the shortest supply. There are also volunteer opportunities in their holiday store, where people can help organize and deliver gifts.
They have a wish list online at http://alexanderyouthnetwork.org/angelnetwork/angel_needs.php
