CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- There’s a major competition this Saturday at the National Agricultural Hall of Fame in Kansas.

It’s the 30th Annual International Lineman’s Rodeo, attracting the best linemen form around the world---competing in events that test job-related skills.

Sixty Duke Energy technicians will be competing in hurt-man rescues, equipment repair and pole climbs.  They’ll be judged on speed, agility, technique, and safety procedures.

This morning on Larry’s Look, we were introduced to  two of the competitors.  They explained the whole process and actually did a competitive pole climb---showing how safe, and fast, they really are!

Larry even did his own, “unique” pole climb!

Live updates will be provided on Twitter at @DukeEnergyStorm and Facebook.
