CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- This Saturday is a big day for the Piedmont Kennel Club.  It’s the 23rd Annual PKC Meet the Breeds event at the facilities on Choate Circle, here in Charlotte.

The event also benefits the NBC Charlotte Magical Toy Drive, to fill area stockings for kids from toddler age to 16 years.  The toys are then distributed by the Salvation Army.

The event is indoors and features special booths, dog trainers, pet tricks, and basic dog training.  Charlotte Animal Care and Control will have a microchip clinic with  a charge of only $10 a chip.  That includes the chip and registration into the local database.

This morning on Larry’s Look, we got a special preview of the event.  Many of the dog owners brought their pets to the PKC  to talk about responsible ownership and to showcase different  breeds.

For all the details, go to: www.pkc.org.
