CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It’s that time of the year, as thousands and thousands of race fans come to the area.

The 600 Festival Association added three new local events this year to its May lineup. Movies on the Campus in Kannapolis,  Haulers on Union in Concord, and the Little 600 in Mooresville.

That’s in addition to its spotlight event, Coca-Cola Speed Street May 22-24 in uptown Charlotte. Speed Street is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

The Little 600 takes place this Tuesday at GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina.  The GoPro Motorplex is a world-class racetrack that features karting at every level of the sport.

The Mooresville Motorplex's .7-mile sprint track is based on the famous and historic Kartdromo Parma in Italy.

On Larry’s Look this morning this morning, we were joined by the President of the 600 Festival Association, Jay Howard.   Also joining us was Jusin Marks Racing.

Entrepreneur Justin Marks.  He owns the facility and heads-up the Little 600 event.

They both talked about the excitement building around the race, that features some big names, like Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Justin Algaier, and many more.

Larry even climbed into a kart and took some fast laps around the track..  For more about the track and all the details on the Little 600, go to:  www.gopromotorplex.com.
