CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Blair Underwood’s Detective Robert Ironside shares more than a name with the “Ironside” made famous by Raymond Burr more than 40 years ago.
He still uses a wheelchair. But that's where the similarity ends, according to Underwood. For starters...he's in New York City, not San Francisco.
He works at a faster pace and a much different attitude. He’s more tightly wound and seems to build a higher wall around himself.
This morning on Larry's Look Goes Hollywood, Blair Underwood sat down with Larry to talk about the new series and the high drama that's part of it.
“Everything you see in terms of the Ironside character’s disability, the physically of that, was informed by David,” Underwood says.
