Charlie Petrizzo is an amazing man. By the age of 16 almost died twice. Through all of the pain he suffered, a pet Labrador Retriever actually helped him heal. Charlie made it his life's mission to help children with special needs, by providing them with a companion dog.

Project 2 Heal was created so that puppies could be given to service organizations or by directly donating companion dogs to children with special needs and disabilities. There's never a charge to the family for the new addition to their family.

This morning on Larry's Look, Charlie Petrizzo gave us a tour of the facility at Project 2 Heal and introduced us to some of the Labrador Retrievers being trained to become a special service dog. We also met one of the little kids who'll have his own dog in a few months. Branson is almost five and is very much looking forward to having Zeke come home and stay with him. Even though Branson calls him "Geek", the two have already bonded and love each other's companionship.
