Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will make a campaign appearance this weekend in Asheville, where he'll prep for the second presidential debate.
Obama's campaign announced Thursday that he would hold a rally at the Asheville High School stadium Sunday afternoon.
It will be the third time in two weeks Obama will campaign in North Carolina, whose 15 electoral votes he is seeking to wrest from the Republican column.
Obama spokesman Paul Cox in North Carolina said Obama will stay in the Asheville area preparing for Tuesday night's debate with GOP nominee John McCain in Nashville, Tenn.
Sunday's event comes the day after the state Democratic Party holds its annual Vance-Aycock dinner in Asheville. Obama is not speaking at that event.
