The disappearance of a Connecticut woman who has been missing since 1984 will soon be highlighted on a billboard in Danbury.
Community United Effort Center for Missing Persons, a Wilmington, N.C.-based nonprofit group, plans to post the information starting next week in hopes of generating tips in Mary Badaracco's disappearance.
Badaracco was 38 when she disappeared in August 1984 from her Sherman home. Her husband said she left with $100,000 in cash and possessions after they decided to divorce.
Police have classified her disappearance as a homicide.
A Danbury man, Ernest Dachenhausen, was charged last year with interfering in the investigation. Police say he knew Badaracco's husband, but they have not disclosed details of the alleged interference.
Dachenhausen is scheduled to go on trial later this month.
