Hand-held diagnostic is just what the mechanic ordered
May 16, 2006
I'm not particularly happy about being stuck in the 21st century. It's way too modern for me. But every now and then, someone develops a neat device for dealing with the aught-aughts – or whatever this decade is called. For $89.99, CarMD sells a mobile, hand-held diagnostic tool that can monitor a car's engine and is supposedly tied to a large online database with enough information to help you fix a modern car – no small feat. This is not an endorsement, mind you. I don't have any experience with this product. But if you're brave enough to try it, there's more information at CarMD.com.
