LOS ANGELES — Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be testifying in a libel
suit filed against him. The suit was filed by a woman who accused him of
sexually assaulting her during the filming of a movie.
A Los Angeles judge ruled today that Rhonda Miller's attorneys may
submit written questions to the governor, but may not require him to
testify in court. But the judge is leaving open the possibility that
Schwarzenegger will be questioned in court at a later date.
Miller is among several women who came forward during Schwarzenegger's
campaign for governor to say he had sexually harassed or groped them
over the course of his film career.
After her allegations were published in the Los Angeles Times,
Schwarzenegger's campaign told reporters Miller had a criminal record.
She did not, although other women with the same name did.
