CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte UltraSwim wrapped up Sunday at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center, and it marked the end of some frustration for Ryan Lochte.
He’ll likely be racing in London in July, but waited until his 6th and final event to earn a gold medal. Lochte set a new meet record in the 200 meter individual medley with a time of 1:57.63.
It was also another big day for Charlotte native and South Meck grad Ricky Berens who earned his second gold of the weekend in the 100 meter freestyle.
