Following Tim Howard’s brilliant performance against Belgium, someone briefly changed the Wikipedia entry for Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, and it was perfect.

The entry was fixed quickly, because #facts and all, but we still think Wikipedia could have left it up for a while anyway.

Some other suggestions for honoring Tim Howard:

And the best one: A White House petition to rename the Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA) the Tim Howard Airport. No offense to Ronald Reagan, but sign us up.

Update: Even Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales admired the Internet’s handiwork.
