TAMPA, FL - The Carolina Panthers have a chance to do something they haven't done since 2008 on Thursday night: that's climb above the .500 mark with a victory over division rival Tampa Bay.

The Panthers face the Bucs on Thursday Night Football for the first divisional matchup for the 3-3 Panthers this season.

Carolina is coming off a 30-15 victory over St. Louis Sunday afternoon at Bank of America Stadium. Tampa is still winless on the season at 0-6.

When asked about the quick turn around, Panthers Safety Mike Mitchell told reporters Tuesday, "It sucks that it's a short week, but Tampa Bay's dealing with it, too; it's part of the grind in the NFL.

The Buccaneers beat the Panthers in both meetings back in 2012, including the regular season opener at Raymond James Stadium last September.

Carolina comes into the matchup scoring 30 or more points in three of its last four games.

Tampa Bay will likely be without running back Doug Martin. Martin is suffering from a shoulder injury.
