CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Belk Bowl will again be played in Charlotte this year -- only a little earlier in the night.

Charlotte Collegiate Football announced the kickoff for the Dec. 27 game will be 6:30 p.m., 90 minutes earlier than last year's game.

The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

The 11th Annual Belk Bowl features a matchup of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big East Conference. The game is played at Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers.

Belk Bowl CEO Tim Belk says "we are very pleased the Belk Bowl will be played in prime time on ESPN again this year."

The first college bowl game to call the Carolinas home, the Belk Bowl has averaged almost 60,000 fans each year with three sellouts.
