CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats announced they will play regional preseason home games this year in Asheville and Greensboro.
The Bobcats will host the Atlanta Hawks on Oct. 8 at Asheville's U.S. Cellular Center. They will play the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 19 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
It marks the first time the Bobcats will play a preseason game in Asheville, site of last year's training camp. This will be their third trip to Greensboro.
Bobcats COO Fred Whitfield says in a release that the Bobcats are "constantly looking for ways to bring Bobcats basketball to cities across the Carolinas as we continue to build our fan base regionally."
