DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Mason Plumlee is returning to Duke for his senior season.
The 6-foot-10 forward announced his decision Tuesday. It's the last day the NCAA allows players considering turning pro to remove themselves from NBA draft consideration.
Plumlee tweeted that he's "excited about the chance to play for Duke one more season."
He spent the past few weeks gathering information about his pro prospects. He started 31 of 34 games as a junior for the Blue Devils (27-7) and averaged 11.1 points and 9.2 rebounds. He was the ACC's third-leading rebounder.
The decision means the Blue Devils will lose only two players from their rotation. Older brother Miles Plumlee was a senior, and guard Austin Rivers entered the NBA draft with plans to hire an agent.
