CONCORD, N.C. -- Charlotte's bid for the 2014 X Games got a major boost Tuesday afternoon when former X Games superstar Travis Pastrana met with ESPN executives at Charlotte Motor Speedway to try and sway them.

Pastrana -- who holds numerous X Games gold medals in supercross, motocross and rally racing -- gave representatives a tour of the track in a Sprint Cup stock car and even stopped for a few pictures.

"They've (Charlotte Motor Speedway) got the stands, they've got the tv screens, the parking, everything.  So many different racing platforms over here, so many drivers that already live here," Pastrana said.  "If anybody breaks anything here, they can just take it to Roush or Gibbs or whoever they are affiliated with."

Pastrana drives the #60 Ford for Roush Fenway racing in the Nationwide Series.
