FORT MILL, S.C. -- Freddy Galvis had two hits including a two-run single in the top of the ninth inning, and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs beat the Charlotte Knights 4-1 on Tuesday in game two of their four-game series from Knights Stadium. Galvis went 2-for-4 on the evening en route to Lehigh Valley’s first win of the series.

LHP Adam Morgan (2-5, 3.86) allowed one run on seven hits over five innings to earn the victory. Morgan, who is ranked as the fifth-best prospect in the Phillies organization by Baseball America, struck-out five batters.

Three IronPigs' relievers combined on four scoreless innings to end the game. Reliever B.J. Rosenberg walked one and struck-out one in the bottom of the ninth inning for his first save of the season.

For Charlotte, Marcus Semien continued his hot hitting. Semien doubled in the first inning and homered in the third inning – his first career Triple-A long ball. Overall, Semien finished the game 2-for-4 and scored his 95th run of 2013, which now leads all of Minor League Baseball. Semien scored 90 runs with Double-A Birmingham and has five runs scored in six games with Charlotte this season.

Avisail Garcia also chipped in with two hits and finished Tuesday’s contest 2-for-4. He has nine hits in six games with the Knights since coming over from the Tigers organization in the Jake Peavy trade.

Charlotte starter Zach Stewart (5-13, 5.02) allowed two runs on eight hits over six innings and was saddled with the loss. Stewart struck-out four batters. Reliever Santos Rodriguez allowed two runs over 2.1 innings out of the Charlotte bullpen, while Daniel Webb struck-out two batters over 0.2 innings pitched.

The two teams will continue their series on Wednesday with game three of the four-game set. LHP Charlie Leesman (3-1, 3.47) gets the start for the Knights. The IronPigs will send LHP Tom Cochran (3-6, 5.70) to the hill. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch set for 7:15 p.m.
