AIKEN, S.C. (AP) -- The country's highest-rated polo player is passing on his love of the equestrian sport to his small stable of children.

The Aiken Standard reported Sunday (http://bit.ly/168Uvkc ) that Julio Arellano's two sons and a daughter share their father's love of the exclusive sport, one at which their mother Megan also excelled. The game nicknamed the "sport of kings" is sort of like playing hockey while riding a horse.

Julio Arellano says his Aiken-based children all want to be professionals. He says they love spending time together, riding together, and casually competing against each other.

Julio Arellano has been honored as the Most Valuable Player of the U.S. Open finals and represented the U.S. in international competitions.
