CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Recent Masters champion Bubba Watson will not bring out his pink driver in Charlotte next month at the Wells Fargo Championship.
Watson withdrew from the tournament saying he wants to spend more time with his family. The Wells Fargo Championship is set to begin April 30 at the Quail Hollow Country Club in south Charlotte.
Watson took home his first major in Augusta in stunning playoff fashion earlier this month. He and his wife, Angie, recently adopted a young boy and are renting a home in Orlando until the adoption is complete.
Watson, ranked number four in the world rankings, has a lake home for sale at High Rock Lake in Lexington, North Carolina.
Number one ranked Rory McIlroy along with stars Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have committed to play in the tournament.
