FORT MILL, S.C. -- Could a brand new speedway come to Fort Mill? A group of local investors say they want to open a short track raceway in place of the current Charlotte Knights Stadium.
The facility could get new life in a $13-million project that would be called 'Castle Speedway.'
A York County economic development leader says right now there's no official proposal that would convert the old stadium into a track.
In the meantime, NBC Charlotte is told construction is right on time at the new Knights Stadium, BB&T Ballpark in Uptown.
