CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- This is Wells Fargo tournament time.  An entire week of golf that will bring  fans, money and traffic.

“Got my towels out already!" said Karen Holder, a stylist at Quail Corners Barber.

In Holder’s chair?  Scott Davenport, the Golf Pro at Quail Hollow Club, getting ready for the week and the tournament.

There’s a lot to get ready for.  Thousands of  people, all at Quail Hollow Club. NBC Charlotte asked and found  three things everyone needs to know this week about going to and through the golf tournament.

First: Take the bus.  The tournament has free shuttle service all week.  Monday  through Friday, organizers say Carrowinds is generally the busiest stop.  Over the weekend, the Ballantyne Business Park will shuttle the most fans.

Not going?  That's our second tip.  If you want to avoid tournament traffic, organizers say stay away from the area from noon until five.  They say that’s  when motorists are  most likely to  be slowed by the tournament's shuttle service.

Finally, if you work uptown and are coming to the tournament, you can take the Lynx Blue line to the Sharon Road stop.

There's a shuttle to bring spectators to the tournament, but you must have  a Lynx ticket and a golf tournament ticket.
