CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- What’s a baseball game without a hotdog?

The new BB&T Ballpark announced its menu’s star on Tuesday ahead of the inaugural season.

Sahlen’s has been named the official hotdog provider for the Charlotte Knights. In addition to smokehouse hotdog, the stadium will dish out deli meats, with "carved off the bone flavor."

More than 10 tons of baseball’s favorite food are expected to go through the ballpark this year. That means concession stands are expected to sell about 1,800 hotdogs per game, or 140,000 in total.
Pepsi has already been named as the stadium’s official drink provider.

The stadium opens Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. against the Norfolk Tides. Single game tickets go on sale on March 8 at 9 a.m. Season tickets, partial season ticket plans and group tickets are now on sale.
