RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats and Miami Heat will play a preseason game in Raleigh's PNC Arena on Oct. 23.
The game replaces a preseason game lost before this season due to the NBA's work stoppage. It will be the Bobcats' first appearance in Raleigh after playing games in several cities across the Carolinas.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Bobcats Sports and Entertainment president and chief operating officer Fred Whitfield says playing in Raleigh continues an effort "of making the Bobcats a team for all the Carolinas."
The team will release its full preseason schedule at a later date.
