CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- For the second straight year Bobcats President Fred Whitfield brought his Weeklong Achievements Unlimited basketball camp to south Charlotte.
And Tuesday a number of athletes and notable personalities played in the Hoop Tee event at Ballantyne Resort.
“We thank all our supporters for being here, all of our celebrities for being here,” Whitfield said. “We’re trying to connect to the community more, do more in the community, touch the kids and also touch the corporate community.”
Another of Whitfield's organizations that aims at raising money to support youth based charitable activities in the Carolinas.
“I’m like a little kid out here,” said Panthers safety Charles Godfrey. “I’m seeing all these legends that played the game before me. I’m soaking in all the knowledge from these guys.
“It’s a good thing, and being able to sit down and talk to a couple of them and just being in their presence is great,” Godfrey added.
