CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Bobcats hosted a clinic for Special Olympics North Carolina athletes Thursday afternoon.
Over 150 Special Olympics athletes from across the state hit the court to learn basketball skills from the professionals. The athletes visited six different stations to practice dribbling, passing, shooting as well as defensive and rebounding skills with the Bobcats players.
The athletes used the day to practice for the 2011 Special Olympics North Carolina Basketball and Cheerleading Tournament coming up on March 5 in Jacksonville and March 12 in Charlotte.
