DAVIDSON, N.C. - Will Archambault's 24 points led four Davidson scorers in double-figures as the Wildcats used a late run to take an 86-71 win over South Division leader College of Charleston in Southern Conference men's basketball action Thursday night in Belk Arena.

Freshman JP Kuhlman matched his career-best scoring total of 19 points by going 8-for-14 from the field and 3-of-5 from behind the arc, while adding three rebounds and three assists.

Steve Rossiter recorded his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 boards to go along with three assists and two blocks. Jake Cohen scored 15 points and five rebounds. As a team Davidson, shot 50 percent (28-of-56) from the field and hit 21-of-26 free throw attempts.

After seeing the lead change seven times in the second half, Davidson held just a slim 68-67 lead with 7:32 to go. The 'Cats took control from there though, outscoring the Cougars (13-8, 8-2 SoCon) 18-4 throughout the remainder of the game to secure the win.

Andrew Goudelock and Tony White, Jr. led College of Charleston offensively with 22 points and four rebounds each. Donavan Monroe scored 10 points and pulled in two boards.

Brendan McKillop led the 'Cats with seven assists and no turnovers to go along with nine points and five rebounds. He hit four free throws in the final stretch.

CofC improved from the field in the second half, shooting 51.9 percent, but only hit 5-of-10 free throw attempts as Davidson avoided foul trouble. They finished shooting 45.8-percent, including 7-of-19 3-point attempts.

The score was even at 36 at the end of the first half. The 'Cats used a 12-2 run to come within three of Charleston at the 7:22 mark after falling behind by as much as 14 points. CofC had gone on a 21-4 run early in the game to open a 23-9 lead.

CofC held a slim margin until Kuhlman closed the half with a pair of buckets to even the score.

The Wildcats will return to action Saturday to face The Citadel. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. in Belk Arena.

Notes: The Wildcats wore black uniforms as a part of "BlackOut Belk Arena" as nearly all Davidson fans wore black t-shirts ... Proceeds from the event benefited Circle de Luz ... Kuhlman has scored in double-figures in each of the last seven games ... CofC won 67-55 over Davidson in their first meeting this season on Dec. 5 at Charleston ... Archambault neared his career-best point total of 28 points, set last season vs. Furman.
