Local Fishing Report
This is a great time to go fishing as all reports from area lakes show the water is warming up and the fish are active. Largemouth bass have been in the shallows and fishermen are catching them sight fishing. Stripers are very active with many fish in the back of bays but some are also moving up rivers. Find the shad and you'll find the stripers. At the coast, fishing has been excellent on days when the winds aren't blow like crazy and unfortunately that has happen quit often this spring. Inshore, red drum and speckled trout are biting while wahoo and dolphin are making up the catch out deep in the blue water. Now is a good time to make plans for an early June trip to the coast. Early June is a prime time for cobia along the Carolina Coast. Have fun fishing, take a kid and remember to send in your pictures.
