CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason is firing back about the assault charges against him.
"At the end of the day the truth will come to light," Beason said on Sunday. "You know, it's unfortunate that some stuff gets out before it's actually investigated or reported. But that's part of it. You come out and do your job and hopefully we can move forward."
Beason was arrested last week and charged with assault after an alleged incident at Uptown Cabaret strip club on Nov. 16.
Gregory Frye claims that Beason sucker-punched him. He has filed a civil lawsuit seeking punitive damages in excess of $10,000.
