CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The city of Charlotte is gearing up for a three-day Panthers Party and the city-wide Fan Friday extravaganza.

At 7:15 p.m. Friday, "Purrcussions" will kick-off the Panthers Play-Off Pep-Rally at the EpiCentre.

The band will lead the processional to Whiskey River, where fans can register for the Miller Lite Panther Pub Crawl.

"It's a $15 fee, but you get free cover at all the bars, no line, no cover," says Jeremy Ashe of BlackFinn.

"You get a spirit towel, you get a t-shirt, so kind of get everybody excited and everybody in the panther gear," he said.

Participants will be handed a wrist-band that will allow entrance to the nine participating establishments.

Organizers are advising fans to purchase tickets online in advance.

Fans are also encouraged to wear all black or Panthers gear Friday in support.

Chase Gardener, who lives in uptown says he never misses a game. He will be among those attending Sunday's sold-out game.

"The city kind of takes on a whole new life, when the Panthers are winning and they are doing well. It's exciting," he said.

Fans will get a chance to leave messages for members of the team on the "Spirit Wall" that will go up at the EpiCentre.

Mayor Patrick Cannon wore his Panthers inspired tie to the Red Carpet screening of Banshee Thursday night.

He also plans to attend the game, and  wished all the players the best of luck in the national spotlight.

"I'm saying to the players you got full support from me, as Mayor, you got support from this community, North and South Carolina, and go out there and perform the best you can. I believe they will do that," he said.
