SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy has high hopes and expectations for himself, and the defensive line group he calls Monsterz Inc. this upcoming season.

"We go out there every day and talk about getting better," Hardy said Tuesday afternoon.

Hardy was pretty good last season, recording 11 sacks during the 2012 season, but his expectations are even higher in 2013.

"We talk about getting better, pushing it and not being satisfied."

Greg went on to say he has his sights set on Michael Strahan's 2001 single season sacks record of 22.5 and then some. When asked about an offseason prediction of 50 sacks, Hardy didn't back down.
"You got a TV? Just watch," Greg added. "There is no roof. The expectations are sky high and that's where I'm going to go."

The Panthers first preseason game is Friday, August 9 at Bank of America Stadium against the Chicago Bears.
