CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers player Steve Smith was in a minor fender-bender while traveling to Bank of America Stadium on Thursday evening, according to Panthers officials.

The Panthers say Smith was not injured and he will play in the game against the Miami Dolphins. The collision happened in the Myers Park area.

Sports Director Greg Bailey said Smith is usually one of the first players on the field before a game. On Thursday evening, he was noticeably absent.
