CHARLOTTE, NC - Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are looking to bounce back from that week one loss to Seattle when they invade Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo Sunday afternoon.
The 0-1 Panthers take on the 0-1 Buffalo Bills in week two of the regular season. Buffalo is coming off a last second loss to New England in week one.
The Panthers defense knows they're in for a fight considering how well Bills rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel played last week.
Manuel completed 18 of his 27 passes against the Patriots for 150 yards and two touchdowns in his first NFL start.
The Panthers will likely rely on their running game, with DeAngelo Williams as the focal point.
Williams and Carolina will look to exploit the Bills defense that ranked second worst in run defense in the entire league one year ago. Expect Carolina also to take more shots down the field in week 2.
Head Coach Ron Rivera told Charlotte media members earlier this week that his team's offensive play calling was too conservative in that 12-7 loss to Seattle last Sunday.
Game time Sunday in Orchard Park, New York is set for 1:00 pm.
