CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Carolina Panthers have hired longtime NFL blocker Ray Brown as assistant offensive line coach.
The 48-year-old Brown had the same job with San Francisco last season and has also worked for Buffalo. Tuesday's move pairs him with Panthers offensive line coach John Matsko, who was hired last week.
Brown played 20 seasons in the NFL at both guard and tackle for St. Louis, Washington, San Francisco and Detroit. He was on the Redskins' 1991 Super Bowl-winning team and made the Pro Bowl with the 49ers in 2001.
