LANDOVER, MD - The Carolina Panthers will look to end their five game losing streak Sunday afternoon when they visit the Washington Redskins.
Carolina's come close to winning several games of late. Cam Newton and the Panthers have lost four games during their current skid by a combined total of 12 points. The Panthers will be without defensive ends Antwan Applewhite and Thomas Keiser. Neither made the trip to Washington on Saturday. Wide receiver Brandon LaFell is also listed as doubtful. LaFell suffered a concussion in the Panthers loss to Chicago last week.
The game features a matchup of prolific quarterbacks. Last year's offensive rookie of the year, Cam Newton for the Panthers. Robert Griffin III was this year's number one overall pick. RG3 as Griffin is known, has the Redskins sitting at 3-5 during his rookie campaign. Newton and the Panthers are tied for the second worse record in the league at 1-6.
