CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Bring your love of golf to Quail Hollow this week, but keep some other things at home.

The world's best golfers are playing and they don't want to hear your phone ringing or you talking.

Fred Bayley with Quail Hollow Information Services says cell phones are not allowed.

"Obviously, they are professionals. They're making big money. You don't want to interrupt what's going on. So that's a big 'ah ha' for a lot of people," he said.

If course security finds your cell phone, it will be checked in and you can pick it up on the way out.

Cameras are allowed, but only Monday through Wednesday. That's why William Lambert watched Monday.

"Got a pic of Lee Westwood," he said.

Thursday through Sunday cameras aren't allowed. You also cannot bring beverages, coolers, radios, TVs, signs or banners.

Every item you bring is subject to search.

As for parking, free spots Monday through Wednesday include an uptown shuttle and buses from Carowinds. On Saturday and Sunday, parking expands to the Ballantyne Corporate Park and Southpark.

"We come in from Carowinds. Took the bus over. It was really easy," Lambert said.

Something you might not have known that's a reward -- you can score a scoreboard score sheet.

"They give those away at the end of the day and if you hang out there, when they are all finished and everything is done, you can actually get a score sheet," Bayley said.

And if you're one of those folks who want to see the most action from several holes while standing in the same area, tournament officials say one of the best spots is the 13th green. From there, you can also see the 16th green and 17th tee and green.
