CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- While all fans will surely notice new security changes at Bank of America Stadium, they likely won’t notice another change during Friday’s game against Chicago.
The actual playing field itself underwent some rehab during the off-season.
Crews stripped away all the grass and dirt and rebuilt the field from the sand base up.
The Panthers will have brand new stomping grounds when they take on the Bears.
When asked if this is a night of excitement ahead, Head Groundskeeper Tom Vaughn said, “It always is. A lot of work leads up to it in the off-season, and there’s a lot of work this week to get the field painted and get everything done. We like it when the game actually starts. That’s the fun part.”
