CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Independence has been one of the most impressive teams through the first five weeks of the prep football season, and one of the biggest reasons they are sitting at 5-0 is the play of their quarterback, Evan Guest.  The Patriots are averaging 45 points per game.  Here are five questions about Guest the gunslinger and Guest the student.

1. Are you surprised at how well the Patriots have started this season?

Guest:  Not at all.  We put in a lot of hard work over the summer and had very high expectations for the season.

2. What are three things you cannot live without?

Guest:  I cannot live without God, my family, and friends/teammates.

3. The best part about being an Independence H.S. student is what?

Guest:  The best part about being a student at Independence is everyone is supportive of the football team and we have a really cool principal, Mr. Bosco.

4. What is one think people may not know about you?

Guest:  One thing people may not know about me is that I play piano.

5. Your funniest teammate is whom and why?

Guest: My funniest teammate is Daryl Campbell. He cracks the whole team up and gives us a good laugh when we need it.
