COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Bruce Ellington scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to rally Berkeley in a 33-24 victory over Northwestern for the Class AAAA, Division II championship on Friday night.
The Stags (14-1) trailed 24-14 after three quarters, but had TD runs of 28 and 40 yards in a span of 1:23 by Ellington to take a 27-14 lead with 8:32 left.
Ellington finished with 191 yards and four touchdowns on 23 carries.
R.J. Robinson added Berkeley's last score on a 28-yard run with 2:07 remaining.
The Trojans (9-6) opened the second half on a 23-yard field goal by Ryan Foster for a 24-14 lead with 5:48 left in the third quarter.
Justin Worley, who had touchdown passes of 10 and 3 yards to Robert Joseph in the first half, was 31 of 50 for 253 yards for Northwestern, which opened the season with four straight losses.
