COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Northwestern Trojans took to the field at Williams-Brice Stadium Saturday afternoon in Columbia with one goal in mind, perfection.

The Trojans scored 21 unanswered points in the first eight minutes of the Class AAAA Division II State Title game against Stratford and never looked back. The Trojans cruised into a state title with a 62-35 victory over the Knights.

Northwestern Senior Quarterback Mason Rudolph had a memorable performance in his high school football finale. The Oklahoma State recruit completed a South Carolina state record 38 passes for 483 yards and 8 total touchdowns. Trojans junior Dupree Hart didn't disappoint either. Hart caught an astounding 23 passes for 255 yards and four touchdowns Saturday afternoon.

"It's amazing what this offense was able to become under these coaches," said Rudolph. "To lose in the Championship game last year the way we did stunk. We worked hard all summer and to be here right now is an awesome feeling."

Northwestern head coach Kyle Richardson added, "This was a total team effort. These kids, our fans and this coaching staff deserve this. It's a total team state championship."

The 2013 Trojans capped off the school's second perfect season in the last four years with a 15-0 record.
