MOUNT ULLA, N.C. -- West Rowan is still alive as it looks to defend its Class 3A title after a 22-14 prep football win Friday night over Concord.

The two teams were tied at six at the lockerroom after Dinkin Miller had a 46-yard touchdown score for West Roman and Spiders QB B.J. Beecher plowed it in for six.

But the second half was all Falcons (12-2), scoring twice in the third frame to take the win.  West Rowan is going for a fourth straight state title, and beats Concord in the third round for the second straight season.

The Spiders end the season at 10-4.  West Rowan, meanwhile, will play at Burns next Friday in the regional final.
