MOUNT ULLA, N.C. – The state of North Carolina is getting ready for the first high school football state championships beginning Friday night.

West Rowan waits until Saturday for the Class 3A title game in Chapel Hill.

For the falcons, it’s familiar territory—the fourth straight year they’ve played in the championship game.

It will be a tough test though against unbeaten Havelock.

NewsChannel 36 will have coverage at Kenan Stadium coming up on Saturday at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
