RALEIGH, N.C. -- South Iredell beat Carrboro, 30-27, on Saturday to earn its first state title in school history.
Running back Lachaston Smith ran for 152 yards and three touhcdowns in the win. South Iredell handed Carrboro its first loss of the season.
